in case for example there are multiple signers for an envelope, (not just one signer), business wants their internal stakeholders to be notified each time one of the listed signers signs the document. So they can know whom is pending the signature, they want an email option for notification, and not having to go into the system to check the document history

Munish,

You may be able to accomplish this by having users review their email notification settings under My Preferences - Notifications.  However, if the type of notification you desire isn’t covered fully, you could add the notification recipients as Receives a Copy users at each stage of the transaction where they want to be notified after a client signs.  Alternatively, this could be accomplished potentially using our Connect feature, but that would require a web listener and custom coding to send notifications on envelope status changes.

Does this help guide you?

The scenario described by the business: the legal team is responsible for managing the e-contract signing processes via DocuSign, and in parallel provide the status of the signing progress to their internal stakeholder. The process of updating the stakeholders is done manually, and time consuming for the legal team, as a result, the legal team wants their internal stakeholders (with no access to DocuSign) to receive email notification each time there is a change in the e-signing process/status.

By default, all notification are turned on, and it doesn't fulfil the business needs.

Receives a copy - How can we utilize this to ensure at each stage of the transaction, the internal stakeholders will receive notification once each of the recipients actions on the envelope, consider a scenario we have 4 recipients to receive an envelope as shown below:

Recipient 1 - Needs to Sign - Notification to be sent once document is Signed

Recipient 2 - Needs to View - Notification to be sent once document is Viewed

Recipient 3 - Needs to Sign - Notification to be sent once document is Signed

Recipient 4 - Needs to Sign - Notification to be sent once document is Signed

Hello @Munish veda ,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Docusign Community.

I’m sorry to hear that our notifications does not accomplish what you need, I understand you need certain people to get notified each time a recipient sign.

However. @Jason.Wiswell is correct, the best option is to add those same people as a receives a copy at every stage of the signing process. First you would need to enable the signing order feature. It would look something like the below:

Signing Order 1-  Recipient 1 - Needs to Sign

Signing Order 2-  Stakeholder - Receives a copy

Signing Order 3-  Recipient 2 - Needs to View

Signing Order 4-  Stakeholder - Receives a copy

Signing Order 5-  Recipient 3 - Needs to Sign

Signing Order 6-  Stakeholder - Receives a copy

Signing Order 7-  Recipient 4 - Needs to Sign

Signing Order 8-  Stakeholder - Receives a copy

Please note that having the Stakeholder added several times will not delay the signing process as it is not required for them to open the document for the workflow to continue but they will get a notification after each recipient finishes their actions.
