Hi, we have DocuSign in our Salesforce platform for generating documents.

Some users receive the below error when trying to generate a document:

"Insufficient "Read" access on field "Record ID" on object "Gen Auth Info"

It seems to be a missing permission on that user on salesforce. Do you know which permission that could be?

I'm sorry to hear you are getting an error, I understand this shows up when you are trying to generate a document in Doc Gen.

What package and version are you on? Quick Finds > Installed Packages.

Yes, that is true

Regarding the packages, please find below the ones we have:

  • DocuSign Gen - 1.18
  • Docusign Apps Launcher - 2.4.2
  • DocuSign For Salesforce Lightning Component - 1.13
  • DocuSign eSignature for Salesforce - 7.12.3

Are you using Docusign Gen within Apps launcher? If not, I would like to recommend you do as the standalone version will not be supported due to a bug. Using Docusign Gen within the Apps Launcher should resolve the issue.

To install Doc Gen in the Apps Launcher please view the following link: Install Docusign Apps Launcher in Your Salesforce Organization

To use Gen in the Apps Launcher should be similar to the normal Gen, you can find some helpful guides in the following link: Getting Started With Gen
