Hi,

I am developing a Power Automate flow that integrates DocuSign for managing multiple file uploads or attachments from SharePoint. In this flow:

One of the documents requires a DocuSign signature, and I have successfully implemented this step.

However, for the remaining PDF files that need to be reviewed by the approver, I am unable to send these documents to the approver.

I am encountering an error in the "Add Documents to an Envelope" action. Below, I have outlined the steps I followed in my flow and the issues I am facing.

I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions to resolve this issue.

Thank you!

Hello @Sai Pasupuleti

Welcome to the Docusign Community and for posting your concerns.

Are you trying to add documents after a signature was applied?

That error usually indicates that the file is password protected, already signed, corrupted or has a bad format

Also, can you ensure that the document is base64?

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.

@nathaly.monge,

I am adding multiple files to SharePoint. One of the files is for DocuSign, while the other PDF files are for review purposes. We are trying to upload a .doc format with the anchors for signatures and add some pdf files to the envelope that do not need a signature but holds important information for the approvers.

I am not adding documents after they are signed.

The PDF file is not password-protected, signed, corrupted, or in a bad format.

The document is in Base64 format.

However, I am encountering a "PDF validation failure" error when attempting to "Add documents to an envelope" in DocuSign. Could you please help me identify the possible reasons for this error?

Hello @Sai Pasupuleti

Thank you for reaching back.

Other than the reasons mentioned previously, the only thing that comes to mind is that adding a base64 document from SharePoint isn't entirely straightforward and maybe it’s not actually passing the right content. Are the documents that are failing being passed exactly the same way as the one that is succeeding? Is there any difference in those two at all?

Either way, I would recommend you contact our Support Team to look a the workflow in more detail: Open a case in the Docusign Support Center.

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.

@nathaly.monge Hi,

"I am uploading both PDF and DOCX files to SharePoint in the same way. While the approver is able to sign the DOCX file via DocuSign in the envelope, I am unable to send the PDF files through the envelope."
