Hi! I am using the Docusign Word add-in to create templates for contracts. These contracts require that all dates be written out in full, like "January 14, 2025."

My team has asked if it's possible to set up date fields that allow users to select a date from a little calendar picker but have the selected date automatically appear in the document in the written-out format.

Does anyone know if this functionality is possible within Docusign, or have suggestions for a workaround? Thank you!

@Grace

You can update the “date signed” fields under Admin → Signing Settings:

If you add a text fiel with Validation set to “Date”, you can choose from the following formats:

As a result the end user will be able to pick a date via the date picker and it will be shown in selected format.

The desired format “MMM DD, YYYY” is not able to be selected for this field type at this point in time.

If you need this format written out, then the recipient has  to type that. You could look into adding a regular expression to enforce the desired format, but this may be more confusing for the recipient.
