Docusign Interation with Dynamics

Hi Team,

 

We have currently setup Docusign integration via Dynamics 365 for our client, However we are facing challenges in the below two scenarios and any guidance on the same would be appreciated.

 

  1. There is a Dynamics 365 workflow that we have configured to create an envelope, add sharepoint document to the envelope, add recipients to the envelope with signing order and role. However we are looking for automating the system to update a D365 record when the first recipient signs and then when the second recipient signs. However as per our observation the Docusign transaction envelope status changes to Sent when the email is sent to the first recipient and changes to completed only when second recipient signs. Is there a way to identify if first recipient has signed the document by workflow? We did see that there is a Get recipient status action for power automate, however we are just going simple docusign workflow automation with this one.
  2. The saving of document is happening with Email Subject line instead of File Name, in Docusign Admin section, there is a default subject line “Please review and sign document” which is coming as saved signed document name in sharepoint.

Welcome to the Docusign Community and thank you for posting your concerns!

Regarding your first concern, what you are experiencing is expected, the Envelope Status trigger only targets the Envelope Status not the individual Recipient Status. This would be out of our scope and you would need assistance from our Professional Services team to build something for you using our open API.

Regarding your second concern, to see if I understood correctly, you are looking to save your documents using the File name instead of the Email Subject line, is that correct? Would you be saving these documents in SharePoint?

Can you guide us on who should we reach out to in case this is our requirement to trigger the workflow when the first recipient signs?

Yes, we have the save document in Sharepoint tickbox checked under Docusign Admin for Dynamics 365. However the setting for Saving as file name is not available. only the saving as email subject is available to select. However when i read few blogs on Docusign, i can see that there is a setting which is currently not seen in our environment. Curious to know if this is because we are using Docusign demo environment as we are still in DEV and UAT phase of the project.

Sure, as mentioned, Professional Services would be your best chance, however, you would need to open a case with support and request their assistance. Regarding the option that is missing, support may be able to help in checking the configuration: Open a case in the Docusign Support Center
