Gmail routes Docusign to Updates, not Primary inbox?

I missed a docusign signature request because the gmail app on my android phone routed it to the “Updates” section instead of “Primary” email.  Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

If I open “All mail” it shows up, but it is not in my primary inbox.  I generally don’t check “Updates” frequently since all I get is Carta notices

Thanks everyone!

Gmail’s automated categorization can sometimes place important messages into “Updates,” “Promotions,” or other tabs instead of “Primary.” Fortunately, you can train Gmail and adjust settings to prevent this from happening in the future.

You can manually move the Email to Primary and Train Gmail this way.   When prompted with “Do this for future messages from this sender?” select “Yes.”
