I am trying to create a make.com automation where the file is taken from a folder and is send out as a document using docusign module. I have issues with autoplacing text box fields. I have entered anchor string for each of the fields that needs to be filled but ther autoplace text box does not work. All I am able to do is set up positions for signature. I cannot find any resource to do this. Do I need to get a paid account to perform this task?

Hi najith,

  1. You can add autoplace text box fields directly to your document. One potential issue might be how the anchor text strings are added to your PDF. To test this, I recommend initially adding the anchor text in a visible color so you can clearly see them in your document. Later, you can change the text color to white.
  2. For testing, try adding the anchor text strings in a blank Word document first. Then, upload the document to DocuSign eSignature to see if the anchors work correctly. You can either convert the document to PDF beforehand or let DocuSign handle the conversion upon upload. If this approach works, it indicates that the issue lies in the way the anchor text strings were originally added to the PDF.
  3. For DocuSign anchor text to be recognized, it generally needs to be formatted with special characters, like slashes, surrounding the text. For example: /signHere1/ .In your document, each anchor text should follow this format for DocuSign to identify them properly.
