Why don't I have the ability to add custom fields? There's also no place to input a label name in the text box

I am sorry to hear that you haven’t been able to add Data Labels or Custom Fields, but I will share more details on the topic. These features are not available with Basic API plan, this is the reason why you lack access to it on the Add Fields step of the envelope creation process.
