Hi,
I’d love to use the Template Assistant for word so that I can have text in my word document replaced as opposed to having to position, pick fonts, etc.
I create sender fields in my Word doc as {{FirstName}} and the preview works correctly.

When I click Upload to Docusign, the template is uploaded and the editor opens, but none of my fields are recognized.
I’ve searched for resources, but am getting confused by Document Gen, whether it requires Salesforce, etc.

What am I missing?

We apologize, Docusign has two types of Document Generation, one for Salesforce and the other for eSignature, you are looking for Document Generation for eSignature. You may find documentation in the following article: Document Generation for Docusign eSignature

Thanks for the clarification.  The issue here was just that I expected it to substitute my fields in my document and show them like it shows tab fields. So, it was actually working fine.
