I have set up a shared envelope for our team, and the documents once sent moves to a shared envelope so everyone can see movement, the issue that comes up is we get asked what stage the documents are for signing, as none of the team get notifications as all the notification emails get emailed to the shared email address. Is there anyway that the original user can get the notifications instead as the only way of knowing if any movement is checking the sent box on DocuSign as the shared envelope as over 30 people added and looking through the emails is not the best or easiest way.

Is there anyway of adding that person who sent originally

I know we can added a cc in the signatures but they only get a notification once everything is completed not at different stages of the envelope, like someone has viewed or witness has signed or its with another person now. like if we sent from our personal envelope we would get updates on each step and thats what we need.

I do have admin rights so if there is something i can change please also let me know

Thanks i hope someone can help

Hi @COD1977KJ

The best way to ensure numerous folks are able to keep tabs on an envelope status might be by utilizing Docusign Connect to notify a third party system any time advancement has been made to the status of an envelope.  Per the article linked above:

Connect enables your application’s web server (your “listener”) to receive notifications about Docusign envelope events. As your envelope progresses from state to state, it sends event updates to your listener that can include envelope status and the actual content of document fields.

This may be something for you to consider.  Whoever has access to the server site can see the status of the envelope at that time.

Based on your explanation, however, I believe you are specifically looking to be notified exclusively via email.  It sounds as if you might benefit from setting up a custody transfer rule to automatically move an envelope to a specific user account after being sent from the original user account.  This 2nd account would be the new ‘owner’ of the envelope.

You would then configure the email address of that account as a distribution email on your office mail server so the group of folks can all be notified via email when status changes.

Is this a correct understanding of what you’re trying to accomplish?  It looks like a portion of your request was cut off so please provide more context if we need a better understanding of what you’re hoping to resolve.  Thanks!

Hi Glen,

the below comment is what I need and how to do this, I have set up the custody transfer for all collogues so when the DocuSign docs are sent but they need the notifications when the status changes.

How do I configure the below comment so each person who sent the DocuSign gets the notifications

“You would then configure the email address of that account as a distribution email on your office mail server so the group of folks can all be notified via email when status changes.”

Thanks

Can each individually be added to their documents they send we have 11 people set up that send docs through DocuSign, so for example is person A sends the docs, and once sent the docs send they go to the shared inbox, how do I set up so that person who sent it gets the notifications instead of the notifications go to the shared email address set up
