Scenario: We have to send specialized offer letters to ~200 new hires. This will be a standard template with customized fields for each hire (e.g. Name, address, etc.). We were thinking of using mail merge in office along with the data in excel to create all of the letters.

Question: Can we do this directly in Docusign and create the unique envelops to be signed by each new hire. Alternatively, is there a way to bulk create envelopes and with the proper attached document for each person to save time.

Goal: looking to save time by not having to manually create ~200 docusign envelops via template and fill in the fields / upload docs one by one

1.create the template, add the role of recipient, set the recipient ad tabs as you want.

2.download the csv file for the template and input your data.

3.then upload the csv file and bulk send the envelope.

Hi Hengfeng - can you confirm if this solution will work for sending unique documents to each recipient (e.g. adding merge fields/custom fields based on CSV) or does the document have to be the same for everyone?

Also, I am not seeing a bulk send option (do I need a certain license or add on)?

yes, after you add fields in the template, you can download the csv for this template, and it include all fields you added in the template. every fields is one column.,then you can add row by row for your envelopes. Bulk send is available in business pro plan. one of our game customer send NDA with their player 10k envelopes in one day by bulk send. it should less than 1k in the one bulk list. You can try  it in the developer account.

Thank you. I was able to do some testing in the developer instance and it seems that this will fit our needs and is a huge time saver. One nuisance/question I had - is there a proper way to insert the custom fields to be in line with sentences (for example, the custom field can vary in characters so how can we push out the next word/remainder of the sentence automatically so the formatting is appealing). Or, should the custom fields only be displayed on their own lines, example below:

Hello Dear rInsert Name],

pInsert Age]

pInsert Manager]

pInsert Location]

Etc…

Thank you for reaching back and apologies for the late reply.

Can you provide a screenshot of what you are looking for? Is this within the document or the email body? If it is on the document, you can add the custom fields as needed to form a sentence but on the CSV they do need there own column. Is that what you are asking?
