It is frequent that we must forward a document to a non-signatory for "review" or "approval" but that person or persons does not have to sign the document. I see the approve and decline buttons but I don't think that is what I need (unless I'm mistaken).  Ideally this persons name with a date/time would appear but no digital signature is required. Is there such a feature or workflow that I'm missing?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out here in the DocuSign Community.

I apologize for the inconvenience, I understand that you want to send to a recipient and this recipient does not need to sign.

If the recipient does not need to take action on the envelope you can use the Needs to view recipient role; When selected, senders can use the Needs to view recipient action. With this action, the recipient must receive the completed documents for the envelope to be completed, but the recipient does not need to sign, initial, date, or add information to any of the documents.

If the recipient needs to action on the envelope, you can set it up with the Needs to Sign recipient role but do not add the signature or initials field.
