I have a template for four signers. Signer 1, Signer 2 and Signer 4 are known. However, Signer #2 needs to provide the email address to Signer #3 based on how Signer 1 completes the form. Since there is no routing logic available, what is the best way to handle?

Example: Signer #1 (student) submits form to Signer #2 (instructor). After reviewing signer #1 (student) answer, signer 2 (instructor) will decide who should be signer #3 (department chair). The student (signer 1) would not know this information. Signer #4 will be coded into the template as it's the final stop for all forms.

I see two options.....

1) Use the Specify Recipients or Update Recipients "Recipient Type" as your 3rd Recipient, which in turn means they will add/update a Recipient who would be position 4. This is optimal.

2) Correct the envelope as the Sender to add the appropriate Recipient. Not optimal.

Per your example, using the first option presented, the rundown would be:

1) Signer 1 - student

2) Signer 2 - instructor

3) Recipient 3 is the instructor who is set to Specify or Update and adds in the next Recipient

4) Signer 3 - Whomever is added in step 3

5) Signer 4
