When adding recipients to an envelope the “Role” field no longer appears.  It was there yeaterday.  I notice the role still appears in the template screen.

 

I checked recent release notes and didnt find anything about this change.

 

Was the system changed to remove roles? or do I need to fix something to get the field back?

The concept of a “Role” only applies to a template. When you send an envelope without a template, no role name will be available. The idea is that in a template you are building a reusable process where the recipients will change, so it is important to define the “role” of that recipient. In an ad-hoc envelope, there is no role since this is only being used for this one workflow. I hope that helps!
