Pre-fill fields in combination with approval button

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

I have made some templates with pre-fill fields for HR colleagues to fill in before sending an envelope. However, I also want to inlcude the approval/decline button for our HR manager in the template and signing order. However I can only add the buttons when I switch to the classic editor. But when I do so, all the pre-fill fields dissappear. It seems I cannot use the newest editor with pre-fill fields in combination with the approve/decline buttons. The only alternative I found is that the buttons can be added manually before sending an envelope. That makes the process more time consuming and prone to errors.

Are there other solutions within e-signature and is this something that is easier to organize in CLM?

Hello @Isabel87

Thank you for reaching out here in Docusign Community.

I replicate your concern and mine doesn’t remove the pre-fill fields upon placing the Approve and Decline field.

It allows me to save it, use and send the envelope without manually placing the Approve and Decline field.

This is how it looks like when I checked the fields with the Approve and Decline field.

I don't see any report or incident related to this issue. Would you mind trying these steps and check if the issue persists? Just in case we have encounter a possible affectation:

1. Clear the cache and cookies
2. Try a different browser(s)
3. Try an Incognito/in-private window
4. Try a different device
5. Test with different Internet networks such as on a mobile device using data with Wi-Fi disabled.

I use the new editor, which works great except it doesn't offer the same fields as the classic editor. It does not offer the option to add an approval or decline button. When I switch to the classic one, the whole layout of my document changes and I can't get fix it. I think it's because I make templates through Document Generation (see screenshot) and I read now that it still has limitations. Do you know if that will change in the nearby future?
