I have an e-signature workflow with three recipients: borrower, finance dept, and comptroller. I already have the process set up to allow the finance dept to decline the document.  I want to know if there is a way to set up a decline process for the comptroller recipient.  

Say the finance department e-signs the document, but the 3rd level (comptroller) finds an issue with the document.  Is the comptroller (3rd recipient in this workflow) allowed to decline?  If so, I want the workflow to bounce back to the 2nd recipient, which in this case is Finance department.

I understand that you would like to allow your signers to negotiate changes to an envelope without voiding the document in the process, and I will share more details on the topic.

 

The best way to approach this scenario would be by setting up Collaborative Fields. 

 

With this option your recipients will be able to request changes to fields completed by other users in an envelope, which will trigger the envelope workflow to be restarted.
