how do i edit a PDF file?

You can add DocuSign tags or fields to a PDF document to allow additional information to be added. If your intention is to drastically alter content in the PDF then that is best done prior to uploading the PDF into a DocuSign envelope. Typically PDFs can be edited through a PDF editor application like Adobe Acrobat or Adobe DC Pro. Also PDFs can be opened in Microsoft Word but you might have to save it back as a DOCX.
