How can I prepare a redacted copy of a signed document?

Forum|alt.badge.img

I need to provide someone with a copy of a document that is signed but must redact some confidential information. Is there a way, outside of DocuSign, to do this using Acrobat? Currently, if I try I get a message "This document has been signed and cannot be edited".

Thanks,

If you want to do this outside of DocuSign, you can just print a copy to PDF (or save it)

then do your edits....   Not sure of the Black Ops process after that.

Thanks but on my Mac This ability is not there. The print to pdf option is not available. Best I can find is save as and any save as gets the same message.

Any other ideas?

If you want to hide things like the social security number with asterisks, you can actually program the document itself to do that, but it must be done BEFORE the document is signed. One of the things that makes DocuSign legally enforceable is that the documents can not be changed after they are signed.

Hopefully this helps for the next document you have that needs this functionality. Good luck!
