Help using docusign to share an updatable document with view tracking

I’m a startup founder & would like to use DocuSign to share my pitch deck. 

  • I want to share a link that can be forwarded around throughout my network. 
  • I want to be able to get the email addresses of those who open the deck. 
  • I also want to be able to update the document without creating a new link / envelope (in case I find a typo or want to add/remove a slide). 
  • I want this to be as simple, clean, & professional as possible.  PDF is ideal.

One idea was to have the document link to a hidden google drive folder that is accessible only by link… but not sure how to make that work with DocuSign.

I’ve looked at a bunch of videos, tutorials, community pages, AI help, etc & haven’t been able to figure this out. I have a very limited number of envelopes right now, so I want to nail it on my 1st shot.  Thanks for your help!!

I see that you wish to distribute a link that can be shared within your network and collect the email addresses of those who access it. Furthermore, you would like the ability to modify the document without needing to generate a new link. I recognize that you have not found any information in videos, tutorials, or community pages. I apologize for this inconvenience and assure you that I will make efforts to help.

Given your requirements, the most effective solution is to utilize Webforms. When you create a web form in DocuSign, it generates a unique URL that can be used to access that specific form. Webforms allow for updates without altering the original link. You will simply make changes to your existing form and activate the new form with your changes.  You can also include a question in the Webform asking users for their email addresses, which you can later download as CSV results. Note: Some advanced features and options are supported only in specific Docusign plans. Your account plan might not support some of the options discussed in this help topic. Contact your account administrator for more information about which options are available for your account.
