@Izzy DocuSign envelope notifications are the default method that the Sender and Recipients on an envelope get notified of certain actions. Senders will get a “view” notification and completion along with a variety of other possible notifications based on the enabled Notifications under the (Profile Pic) My Preferences > Notifications within DocuSign. All notifications are enabled by default but these can be disabled per User.
Another option is to add yourself (Sender) or the Recipients into the workflow as “Receives a Copy” between other Recipients. An example is below:
Signing Order 1 - John Smith - Needs to Sign
Signing Order 2 - Jane Doe - Needs to Sign
Signing Order 3 - John Smith - Receives a Copy
Signing Order 4 - Bob Johnson - Needs to Sign
Signing Order 5 - John Smith - Receives a Copy
The above envelope workflow would send John Smith a notification (Receives a Copy) between every other Recipient in the workflow as well as the general completion notification once the envelope has gone through all Recipients.
Also if a Recipient has a DocuSign Account (free/personal/work) and the envelope email matches the DocuSign User email, then they get these envelope(s) in their DocuSign inbox and can monitor the progress real-time as it progresses.
