I used the Docusign web UI to drag and drop Custom tabs from the custom fields palette on the left side of the screen into a template. and saved it. how can I get the template's custom tab details? Does this have an API? I want to update the tab value of this respective template.

Perhaps, I didn’t understand well your question, but some information about it:
If you’re asking about how to change customer fields in a template, you just need to edit the template then make your changes in the custom fields, save it.
However, if you would like to do that via RESP API, this is the way:
