I have an Adobe document with embedded signature and date fields. When I pull that into Docusign, the signature field comes over perfect and functions as intended. The date field comes over as optional text. Is there any way, other than dragging in a docusign field to each document, to made the date field auto populate in Docusign?

Wait! I figured it out from an article here. In Adobe you have to change the name of the field so Docusign can  recognize and convert it. Whoo hoo! Thank you Robert!

Here’s the article for anyone else with the same issue.

This is due to the way the form field was created in the Adobe form.

Majority of fields are marked as optional when you import the document.

If you check the properties of the field in Adobe Form what is marked up as.

Thank you Robert for reaching back out to me. I am finding this problem baffling.

I’m not sure what you meant by your last sentence, but I think you are asking what are they marked up as?

I have not set them as required fields. I will do that and see if I have a different outcome. IDK maybe I’m missing a step, I am very very new at this.

Me again. I made them required fields in Adobe and they all come through in Docusign as text fields. What am I missing? Thanks!
