Create Templates / Button new is missing

Hello,

I just started to you the up, and I did watch the videos: How too …

Unfortunately, if I go to temples, I do not have the option to add new temples.

  1. Is there a reason for it, that the button is missing?
  2. How do I create a template without the button “NEW”?

Thank you for all the help

Hello, @Anastasia

You are welcome to the Docusign Community!

It’s necessary to the user has a Permission Profile that permits the Template’s Creation permissions.

By default, only DS Admin permission profile permits Templates creation/share permissions.

Your Admin can create a customized Permission Profile giving permissions to Templates’ creation then add your use for that.

Let me know if I answered your question.

Best,

Alexandre

So why the hack do you frustrate your users by not telling them what the problem is directly in the UI? A simple greyed out button with additional info saying “you don’t have the permission to create templates” plus a request link would be a standard and easy UX solution. Not offering such a simple thing in 2025 is beyond any proper, modern user experience.
