Can we use DocuSign to approve or reject documents prior to sending?

​I want to send contracts using DocuSign this way: staff draft and upload contract to DocuSign, manager approves/rejects, then it either is sent on to the client to sign or is returned to the staff to make changes as noted. I feel like I read about this but can't recall where.

Yes, the envelope workflow (order of Recipients and the associated Recipient Types) allows you to route a document internally and then externally. Basically structuring the workflow to perform whatever actions are needed prior to Client signatures. There are approve/decline buttons that could be used as well as Comments, Collaborative fields. and even Markup to name a few options or features. Here are a few articles to start....
