Hello, @Rohit Jalwaya

Welcome to the DocuSign Community!

How are you doing to see the completed envelope? Are you the Sender? If so, you can see the envelopes in the Manage page.

If you’re talking about the email notification to a recipient signs an envelope (Review Document button) so the error about expired link appears then it’s part of the security measures when a recipient does not sign the document in a 48 hours period.

For unauthenticated users, as a security measure, the envelope links in email notifications automatically expire after five clicks or 48 hours. Signers can easily request a new link, or, if they have a DocuSign account, they can access the document by logging into their account, even if the email link has expired.

I hope that helps!

Alexandre

Hi I have a similar question to @Rohit Jalwaya’s question, I am new to Docusign. We sent out 500 envelopes and customers are now telling me their link expired. Wait, what?

How do you avoid this happening? The document itself is set to expire in 6 months. Our clients take time considering what is sent, and don’t necessarily sign in the first 48 hours. Is there a work around?

Part two of my question is does the link reactivate when they are sent a reminder? I have reminders set to go out in 7 days after sending.

Thank you!

Hello @Clutterbug ,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Docusign Community.

Links expire after 48 hours or after a signer click on the link 5 times, the only way to bypass this is to add a verification method (this could be an Access code), however, the fact that the link to the envelope expired does not mean that the envelope itself has expired. The signer should be able to request a new link that will be sent to them automatically, otherwise d the sender can resend the envelope and a new link will be provided to them: Access Code and Email Notification Link Expiration

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.

@nathaly.monge  Thank you for that answer. Just to clarify, if a recipient requests a new link, does that involve any actions on my part as the sender, or is that automatically generated by the system?

thank you!

Hello @Clutterbug ,

Thank you for reaching back.

If the signer requests a link, you as the sender, does not have to do anything, the system automatically generates it.
