I get requests for confidential documents from customers. I want to send via DocuSign with an acknowledgement that they are receiving this document under an NDA and are not allowed to share the document. How can this be accomplished?

I understand you would like to send documents (NDAs) to your customers with some sort of acknowledgement from your side.

 

You can create envelopes by uploading the needed documents and add your customers as recipients. You can do so by going to Manage > New > Send an Envelope, once there you can upload the needed documents and then you will be prompted to add signers who will take actions on the document (in the “Add Recipients to the Envelope” section). I recommend you add yourself as a recipient and add maybe a signature field or an Approve field for you to complete so that the recipient can see the acknowledgment from your side.

If you are not able to see the option “Start”/”New” on your home page this could be due to several reasons, which are listed below:

 

• The DocuSign Admin at your company neglected to add the permission to send documents to your User Profile. If that’s the case, you’ll need to contact the DocuSign Admin to get your user permissions updated.  

• You’re logged into the wrong account. Please confirm that you are logging into the correct account with the proper email address and password. 

• Some accounts are configured for users to utilize templates to send envelopes. If that’s the case, you will need to contact the DocuSign Admin at your company to review your User Profile settings.
