Hi,

We are new to Gen and we use DocuSign Apps Launcher v6.9 within Salesforce. After we generate the documents, how do we send them? I was under the impression that it would be seamless, we generate then we would be prompted to send. But after the documents generate we are prompted to Preview/Download and click done and get directed back to our record. I think I am missing a piece. Can someone provide any insight?

Thanks!

Hi @etemkin,

Thank you for reaching out to the Docusign Community.

You can automate the generation and sending process in Salesforce by linking your Gen Template to an eSignature template. You can find detailed instructions on this process, here:

Create a One-Click Generation and Sending Experience to Streamline Your Contract Process

Feel free to let us know if you need further assistance with this.

Thank you for that. However, no templates are appearing the ‘Select an Envelope Template to streamline sending for signature’. I have enabled enabled ‘Send Now’ on a few of Envelope Templates and none of them are appearing.

So for each Gen Template you can only have 1 Envelope Template linked? Is there anyway to make it dynamic based on a field or something on the source object?

Hi @etemkinm

Thank you for following up.

All Envelope Templates created within Docusign Apps Launcher that match the Salesforce object related to your Gen template should be listed after clicking the “Select an Envelope Template to streamline sending for signature” button.

If you have confirmed that both templates were created based on the same Salesforce object but keep experiencing the same issue, it will be best for us to take a closer look at the issue through a live contact method such as a phone call or screen sharing session.

Regarding your second question, under these circumstances we would recommend having 2 different versions of your workflow, connected to their own custom button. This will allow the sender to pick the appropriate template before sending the document.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I will address them as soon as possible.
