How many versions of the CSV file or documents can be maintained in CLM.cm?

Hi,

Despite the setting that allows for unlimited versions, there actually is a limit that prevents checking in new versions. I don't know the exact number, but it's something like 1,000 versions or something.

We've run across this with our customers for csv's that are updated frequently through some sort of integration where the file is a list of customer/vendors that is used to populated doc gen or attribute picklists.

We've coached our clients where this is a potential issue to create a manual or automated process to yearly archive the csv file by moving it to a different folder and, adding a new 1.0 version file in it's place, and then reconnect any plumbing that references the file in doc gen or attributes.

Hi ,

the versioning of a file is held by the setting ADMIN->Document&Folders->Storage.

CSVs are no exception.
