Question

Which permissions are necessary to be able to add an attachment field to webforms?

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

I have a user with Share template permissions and sender permissions. They are able to create and edit a webform, but they aren’t able to add an attachment field. As an admin, I’m able to do it. What permissions are necessary for my user to be able to add an attachment field?

I understand that your users are experiencing issues adding an attachment field to a Webform. I sincerely apologize and will do my best to assist you.

Please verify the permission profile of the users to ensure that the “Add/Allow signer attachment” option is enabled. Kindly check this comprehensive article regarding the necessary permissions for non-admin users: Add Template Permissions to Users

I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you!

Hello @steve.fitzgerald,

Thank you for your confirmation. Can we kindly verify if they are following the guidelines in this article: Add or Edit Properties for a Web Forms Attachment Field ? Additionally, when you access the user’s Permission Profile, do you see the following option: Web Forms, with the ability to choose from None/Create?

I don’t see an option for Web Forms, however, the user in question is able to create web forms they just can’t add the attachment field to the web form even though they have the “Allow signer attachments” field checked.

Hello @steve.fitzgerald,

Thank you for your confirmation. I acknowledge that users have the capability to create Webforms. However, if the option mentioned is not visible, it may be due to a backend setting that has not been activated, potentially leading to this issue. A support agent can assist in identifying whether this is the situation, and it would be advisable to open a case to clarify this matter.

To open a support case in the Docusign Support Center, go to the "Get Support" section and select "Open a Support Case.” Log in using your Docusign credentials and select a case subject. If you have multiple Docusign accounts, choose the appropriate account to continue. Open a case in the Docusign Support Center
