If a signer adds markups to a document and another signer wants to reject one, or some, of the markups then how is that done without voiding the entire envelope? It does not appear that the markup can be deleted. It is otherwise not a solution to delete the markup text and sign off because it will leave a blank box over the original text so that the original text is covered up and thus effectively removed from the document. It is not possible to remove a markup using the CORRECT feature. DocuSign Support advised removing the document in its entirety and adding it back but that would simultaneously wipe all markups, including those that have been agreed to or are still being negotiated, so that is also not a viable solution.

The idea of the markup feature is that text can be negotiated by multiple signers directly through DocuSign so that all communications can be contained within the envelope. So, how is this done?

Hello @lg125689,

I understand your concern about Document Mark up and I am here to help.

Changes will not be fixed unless all the signers approve. If a signer uses document markup, when a previous signer receives the document to review the markup, they can make changes or approve the markup field as is. In addition, they can edit any other fields that support collaboration, even if this property was not set on the fields. If they choose to make any changes to these fields, they become collaborative with all other prior signers. Any signers who have finished signing will receive the document again and can edit or approve these fields.
