Template Ownership

Hi,

If a user is a template owner but needs to have someone else also be the template owner how can this be done? We don’t want to transfer the template to them but have both users be template owners so either of them are able to send it out to others to obtain signatures. Is this possible?

  1. To Share the Template:

    • Log in to your DocuSign account and navigate to the "Templates" tab.
    • Find the template you want to share and click on it.
    • Click on the "Actions" dropdown menu and select "Share with Users."

Users that can send envelopes can use templates to send envelopes as well.   They will not be able to modify the template.   You can further ensure that users only send from a template, by making changes to the account.

@Scarpaj - A template can have multiple users who have permissions to send the template, but there can only be one template owner. However, you can share the template with other users and give them the necessary permissions to send documents based on the template.  You can find more information here. Share Templates (docusign.com)

Thanks John! What steps does the template owner have to take to ensure they share the template properly? How does she give them the necessary permissions to send docs based on the template.
