I am trying to send a document for signature but it gives me an error message that says "Cannot include locked tabs in tabgroup children" what does that mean and how do i fix it?

Double check that you don't have any checkboxes or booleans marked as read only. Tabs are any field created via docusign. Each "tab" field has a specific purpose. In the case of check boxes, if it is marked as read only, it defeats the purpose of having the check box. Apparently, docusign does not like that and gives you an error without pointing out where your error has occurred or at the very least, explain the issue without using jargon.
