Forged Signature, Two Envelope ID's

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

I have an agreement that I never signed that was provided to me by my company, signed via DocuSign with a Certificate.

Two documents within the envelope but we're provided to me separately.

The second document has the same envelope ID visually, but if you open within Google docs two ID's are in the header. The top left is a unique ID, the top right ID matches the certificate.

Neither documents signature block has the DocuSign security feature.

I believe I need an expert to certify this but don't know who to ask.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Be careful of Adobe saying not valid this is an issue with your Adobe certification being out dated happens so often.

So first on the certificate it is stamped with the envelope ID which should match the documents.  You will.also see dates and times of the sending and signing along with other details.

Happy to review and provide advice on this I have a lot of experience with Docusign 8 years as an employee and several years private consulting for many companies

@HC967

To clarify: How did you receive those signed documents?

Have you opened the documents with a PDF reader to validate the validity of the embedded certificates? If there are no certificates present, it is not an original document from Docusign eSignature and it has been tampered with. The same applies to the certificate of completion, where there will always be the certificate to prevent to document from being tampered with.

I was just going to add that Adobe indicates it cannot validate the signature.

I received the documents via email from the company.

I did not have a copy of the documents in my email from DocuSign nor did I have a copy in my DocuSign account.

The signature is not my adopted signature either, different form of my name and different font than my norm.

@HC967

If Adobe Acrobat Reader is unable to validate the certificate, then it is not an original document from Docusign, but something that was tampered with / forged to look like you have signed it.

As you stated correctly, you should have received them via email, if it was a legit transaction from Docusign and they would also be visible in your Docusign eSignature account, which they are obviously not.

If I were you, I would check the email sender (is the domain really from that company or was that also forged) and then make a decision, if you want to respond to them at all or if this is just a scamming attempt. If you decide to go back, ask them for the original documents, which they will not be able to provide, if you did not sign these documents.

Adobe cert is up to date. Originally noted signatures as valid, however after updating Adobe they became questionable.

I know I didn't sign these documents.

I'll need expert witness for court.

Did they supply you with the certificate of completion or just the alleged signed document.

You could also ask them to forward the actual documents from the Docusign system.  Very easy to do all they do is log in locate the document in the completed folder and then from the drop-down select forward.  This should then send you another copy of the document and you should then be able to see some more information about this when you get that email.

This should not be a problem for them unless of course something clearly is wrong.

And yes Docusign security and privacy teams are shockingly slow to respond. Have a case myself open with them for a long time about a privacy issue

The Certificate of Completion has the same issues with the signature block, and the time stamp events are not in chronological order.…

E have requested the complete envelope and they continue to provide the same copy.

The solution is to ask them to forward the envelope. That will allow you to potentially see the history and a few other details.  Ot will also allow you to see the actual certificate issued in the system and not something that you have been sent as a copy.  I could essentially create a document similar but if you get sent the Docusign email link it gives you control.

Thank you. They continue to just send copies not the full envelope as requested.

I know I did not sign this, so they cannot produce it without alterations hence my need of a DocuSign expert....caught between a rock and hard place.

We can show the missing security block on signature, the missing signature validation and the inconsistencies in the security certificate. As well as the two different envelopes ID's in the document.

Hopefully this will be sufficient

Send them this link and if they cannot do that just tell them that what they have provided is false and unless they can provide the specific email as per the instructions then they are false and wasting time.  As said happy to cast an eye and provide assistance and general thoughts on what I think .
