If document retention has not been set, and the account is closed. Upon the searching of related threads on this forum, seems the documents will keep with the account, is that correct?

I have come across a reply (Release from DocuSign | Community) on downloading a completed set of documents. But the URL is inaccessible.

Yes, this is correct. When a user account is closed and there is no retention period set up, the envelopes will remain in the account of the user. You are able to transfer envelopes to a different user or re-open them if needed and set up shared access to access the envelopes stored in that user account. You can also do a manual purge of envelopes, if you want to delete the envelopes related to that specific user from DocuSign eSignature.

The linked reply is for DocuSign Rooms which is a different product and does not allow account re-opening.
