When we used PandaDoc (another DocuSign alternative) it allowed one user to sign a document with 2 different signatures.
One signature from his side, and one on behalf of other person at the same time.
On DocuSign, I cannot see the support for this. Can you help me on how to achieve it?

@andrewwhiteman

Are you looking for ‘sign as a delegated signer’?

I found this support page for delegating signers:

https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?language=en_US&rsc_301&bundleId=yca1573855023892&topicId=ocw1639176426115.html&_LANG=enus

@mr1 Thanks for answering!

I have a document to sign and I have a template ready for it. So basically it has two signatures required. One I wanna sign as 'andrew' and other I wanna sign as 'John' and then I would hit Finish.

Can we do that on DocuSign?

@andrewwhiteman

yes - you would set up “John” with you as the designated signer

per DocuSign instructions:

The sender may enable the optional delegated signing feature. This feature ensures that envelope completion continues uninterrupted when signers are out of the office, or otherwise unavailable to sign.

As a delegate signing an agreement on another signer's behalf, you sign under your own name and signature.

  1. When you receive a notification to sign, select REVIEW DOCUMENT.
  2. Agree to the disclosure statement that details you are signing on behalf of the delegator.

    Once you accept the disclosure statement, the signing session displays a notice that you are signing on behalf of the delegator as shown in the following example.

    You are signing on behalf of Tamara Morgan

    This helps distinguish between signing as a recipient and as a delegate.

You may need to see if this feature is available/turned on for your account.

good luck
