Docusign's moat isn't signing - it's their agreement network. But that moat disappears if they miss the AI transformation. Stripe gets it - they released their agent toolkit because they know agents need to move money. But what about agreements?
I spent two months building an open-source Docusign Agents demo and toolkit that lets AI agents handle the mundane parts of agreements while keeping humans in control of signing. The vision: AI handles the complexity, humans make decisions. Docusign has the world's largest agreement network and comprehensive APIs. They could be the infrastructure layer for AI-enabled business agreements.
Instead, they're asleep at the wheel while Google enters the e-signature space for free.
