If we do will it enable comments on all existing templates or just new ones going forward? Is there a way to set the option on but the default off?
It will only take effect from any new documents you send out so any documents still to be signed are all ready set and you would need to go and correct these.
You would need to update the templates if this is a setting you want to use on them.
