I have a process that requires two approval signatures, both from signing groups. The problem is that both of the groups will continue some of the same users. Is there a way to ensure that the same user doesn’t sign both times?

For example: Signing Group 1 contains users A, B, C, D and Signing Group 2 contains users A, B, C

If user A signs on the first signature line, is there a way to restrict it so that only users B or C could sign on the second line?

Thank you!

First off, welcome to Community. So without knowing the full extent of your use case, a solution that you could possibly use is conditional routing for your form. The only thing is that conditional routing is not available in conjunction with a “Signature Field”. But you can use conditional routing with a “Drop-Down” or “check box” per say. So in example if you can a a drop-down field of the individual signers in the signer group, then you can add a conditional routing rule that says if “Signer A” was selected from the drop-down field then route the document to the rest of the group. The drawback is that you would have to create a rule for each person in the group. So this idea is best if the signing group members are low. It is a little bit of some front-end work and thinking a little out of the box, so to assist you, below is a link to our support site to provide some contextual information on conditional routing as well as a video to give a quick demo.

I hope this provides you with some insight of the possibilities available to you, and do not hesitate to reach back out if you have any further questions.
