Sending a document without recipient downloading

Is it possible to send out a document with docusign without allowing the recipient to download it? We would like to send out some confidential documents via docusign in connection with our employment agreements but we wouldn't want the recipient to be able to download those other documents. Is this possible? Thanks!

@Armi Anttila DocuSign has a feature called Document Visibility which may help and I provided a link below. This feature allows you to “hide” documents from Recipients who do not participate on a specific document. However, if you send out a document or a set of documents and the Recipient takes action on those documents then the documents are sent to the Recipient at completion via the completion notification or via their own DocuSign account (inbox) then you cannot prevent that individual from downloading the documents. There are ways to disable the attachments sent via the completion notification but it would apply to all Recipients across the entire account Internal or external).

Good day to you. In my initial testing and investigation I do not see where you can turn on and off the ability for the recipient to download or print a document within an envelope.(I will do a little more asking around). I do have a question for you though. These “confidential documents”, do they even need to be seen by the recipient altogether? If not, then I would recommend using a feature called Document Visibility. This feature allows the sender to turn on/off the visibility of particular documents within a sent envelope. Thank you Turns out this is actually not a problem for us anymore and the recipients are now allowed to download all the documents we send out but I appreciate the comments 🙂
