For years I have used Docusign but I only ever received documents to sign.  I now want to send a document to be signed. What do I do?  Do I need a paid account? Does the document need to be in PDF format or Word?  I have the document currently in Word.

Just confused as how to get started because when I try to signup using my existing user id and password, I receive an error.

If you wanna send envelop for signature, then you might require the DocuSign eSignature paid account.
You Can upload document in PDF or Word.
