Dear Admin,

Thanks for this wonderful product.

I have been lately using DocuSign for sending envelopes containing multiple PDFs for signature.

After Signatory -1 has signed and returned the envelope to me (containing multiple signed PDFs). I am forwarding this envelope to Signatory -2. But the issue is, the PDFs are all combined in to one file.

When Signatory-2 signs and returns the envelope, i could only download the PDF as one file. I need the files to be individually signed separate ones, as I sent in the original envelope.

Is this possible to perform without downloading and reuploading the files?

Best Regards

Kandan

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out here in the DocuSign Community.

I understand that after sending the envelope to Signer 2 you can only download one file.

Please keep in mind that if two or more signers need to sign the same document, it is recommended that they are added as recipients in the same document other than having Signer 1 sign the document, complete the envelope, download it, and re-upload it to DocuSign to send to Signer 2.

The reason why this is recommended is due to the signature in the first envelope signed by Signer 1 can be invalidated when downloading and sending to the next one. However, if you don't want Signer 1 to see some of the documents that Signer 2 needs to sign, I recommend using our feature, Document Visibility: https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?language=en_US&bundleId=gbo1643332197980&topicId=eui1578456411411.html&_LANG=enus

Also, if the documents were uploaded separately, you will see the option to download them separately.

You can find detailed steps on how to add recipients to your envelopes, here:

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I used to send the envelopes containing many documents, with multiple signatories signing in sequence.

However, the issue was that when the (for e.g.) second signatory is on vacation, the envelope gets stuck. I could not change the second signatory without voiding and reuploading the envelope.

The same happens with the other signatories in sequence, leading to voiding of the envelope and reuploading.

Is there any way to change the second signatory, without voiding the first signature?

Best Regards

Kandan

Hello,

Thank you for reaching back.

You can apply changes to any envelope or recipient that has not been marked as completed.

Once a recipient completes their action (or the envelope), the system will not accept any further alterations.

You can find more details regarding how to correct an envelope, here:

https://support.docusign.com/en/guides/ndse-user-guide-correct-documents

Also, if the signer has a DocuSign account, they can set something called a Designated Signer, which will allow someone else to sign on their behalf, for more information, please view: https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?language=en_US&bundleId=jux1643235969954&topicId=ofd1637045879616.html&_LANG=enus
