Hi,

Forgive me if this has been covered before, I am a beginner and have looked around to the best of my ability.

We are implementing an new CRM system, DocuSign is part of that implementation. We frequently send letters that should be signed automatically with the authors signature. The CRM system is capable of doing this if we provide the signatures in .svg file format.

I would like to know how exactly I can utilise DocuSign to capture 200+  signatures, extract and store them in a format that I can then convert to .svg.

I believe we have an enterprise license for DocuSign. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Rolf

Hello @RolfMueller ,

Welcome to the Docusign Community and thank you for posting your concerns!

.svg is a Scalable Vector Graphics file format, unfortunately that's not something that our eSign program recognizes or interacts with.

Those signatures wouldn't be considered "valid" from our system's perspective (because they aren't being applied through our system). If you want to "pre-sign" docs like that, it'd probably be best to put those images directly on the base documents, before feeding them to Docusign. Our system would take care of obtaining electronic signatures, but we wouldn't have anything to do with managing signatures that weren't applied through our system.

I hope that makes sense.

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.

Thank you for your reply, I probably was not clear enough in my problem description.

I want to use DocuSign to capture the signatures of 200 employees and then extract them into a safe storage container. From there I will convert them (using a different tool) into .svg or .jpeg files to supply them to our CRM system.

So what I need help with is to capture 200 signatures (in DocuSign) and extract them from DocuSign into a folder on SharePoint or OneDrive or any storage system that is supported by DocuSign.

Is that something you can help with?

Thanks, Rolf

Hello @RolfMueller ,

Thank you for clarifying.

Unfortunately, as mentioned, there isn’t a way to extract signatures from Docusign, and if it is done using a different application this will invalidate these signatures as they were not applied via a Docusign through a signing session directly, in other words, your documents would be rendered invalid.

Let us know if you need further assistance with this.
