We do some post processing of signed documents and we noticed that one customer has e-signature picture/stamp rendered as Annotation with type Stamp:
Back to Docusign.com
/Subtype /Stamp
/Type /Annot
However, all other customers including our dev account render e-signature as image object
/Subtype /Image
/Type /XObject 
My question: is there any setting that controls this behavior? Or is it some regional differences?

I understand you want to know why the processing tool is showing two different signature types and how to control it.
To be honest, I have not seen a behavior like that nor am I familiar with the tool you are using for the post processing, however, if you can be so kind as to provide me envelope IDs we can check that in our system and find differences from our side: Locate a Docusign envelope ID
