creating an optional selection for one initial section and not the other.

On our lease, there is a section where customers pick/put their initials whether they’re going to self-insure or get a policy on their contents. I only want them to initial one of the two choices. How do I do that? Thank you

@Sue H My suggestion would be to have two boxes where you place DocuSign Radio Buttons and then the Recipient selects either Radio Button A (self insure) or Radio Button B (policy), then you setup field conditionality on each of those Radio Buttons to open up a corresponding DocuSign “Initials” field.  So there would be two Initial boxes added lets call then Initials A and Initials B, then the condition would be if the Radio Button A is selected it opens up the required Initials A, then Radio Button B opens up the Initials B field.

Good Morning Alejandro,

Thank you for this email. I did peruse around to see if I could create these ‘radio buttons’ however I wasn’t able to do it. Now I see the link for a tutorial. I will look at this this week.

I do have another issue I’d like to figure out: I am using this for customers to e-sign a lease and a credit card authorization form. I would like to be able to open the lease within Docusign and before I send it to them, I add their name, size of unit, pricing etc before I send them the lease to e-sign and initial etc. Right now I open the lease in WORD, put name etc into the WORD document, save it, then go to docusign, browse documents to add the just-created-new lease. Is this the only way to do it?

PS I have not done any tutorials. I signed up once for a ‘podcast’ presentation but couldn’t make the time slot.

Thank you, Sue Henric
