I have a question. I use documents with small checkboxes or radio buttons and often time when matching them to the DocuSign check boxes are radio buttons, boxes or buttons are actually covering up some on the texts on the document. Even when shrinking the boxes to it’s smallest size, it still hides some of the text. Are there any tips to help with this?

@Lamari I have always suggested to alter the size and spacing of the document. If you cannot size the field down and it covers the text of the document then I believe its better off to adapt the document to add a few extra spaces or upsize the document boxes.

Alejandro,

We are having the same issue with the checkboxes covering data.  We changed the font size for the checkbox, but that does not help in the covering of the data.  Adjusting the document within Docusign does not help, and we cannot change the document sizing outside of Docusign so that it can be readily viewed - correctly - when sent to signers - they already have enough trouble using the “mobile view” (it NEVER aligns properly).  If changing the font size could adjust the checkbox size that would be the most beneficial.

Hi @Magnolia Coastal Properties,

Thank you for following up.

If the current font sizes available don’t meet your formatting requirements, we will gladly look into the possibility of making available a wider variety of options within the field’s properties. I encourage you to consider submitting your idea to be reviewed by our development team for possible implementation. If you’re a DocuSign Administrator for a corporate plan, you have the additional option of filing your request through a support case, or by reaching out to your Account Team. We invite you to share your product suggestions and feature requests on our dedicated ideas page (https://community.docusign.com/ideas), where we can collaborate to shape the future of our product together.

Regarding the mobile view option, we recommend ensuring that documents that will use Responsive Singing will comply with the following formatting requirements to prevent display issues during the singing session:

  • Avoid right-justified or overlapping text.
  • Very wide tables with odd row or column spans may not display correctly - ensure tables are uniform.
  • Add page breaks or white space to ensure that tables do not break across pages.
  • Make sure fields do not overlap to prevent possible display issues.
  • Avoid signature lines, they do not scale well. ( e.g. 'Signature:____________' )

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I will address them as soon as possible.
