When I upload a date from Excel to DocuSign, the European date format day day / month month / year automatically changes to the American month month / day day / year. How can I change this?

Hello @Mario B.

Thank you for reaching out here in the DocuSign Community.

I apologize for the inconvenience, I know the importance of having the date displayed as needed. I understand that you want to know how you can change the date format for your Documents.

The account Admin of the sender account can define the default account date and time format settings for Date Signed on the Signing Settings page under Document Formatting. For more information, see Document Date and Time Format.

  • Note: This effect on fields with Date data validation is new and applies only to fields added to envelopes and templates after this formatting change was implemented.

Hello,

I am having the same problem and the answer doesn't solve the problem.

My regional setting are correct as standard European date format, however when I upload an excel document to an envelope it automatically changes any dates in cells to American format.

For example a date in an excel sheet prior to uploading is 31/04/2024, once uploaded and on the final PDF it is changed by DocuSign to 04/31/2024

I can’t find a setting or work around to correct this.

please advise.

I have worked out a work around for this issue.

When entering the date in to the excel spreadsheet, change the format of the cell from “Date” to “Text”

When the cell number format is text, it doesn’t change the format to American date

:)

Hello.  I am also having a problem with dates from Excel to DocuSign, the European date format day day / month month / year automatically changes to the American month month / day day / year.  I have tried the suggested work around by changing the format from date to text but then I just end up with a row of meaningless numbers.  Can someone please help. Thank you
