Hi,

Is there a way to change subject line to remove "requires signing" when a Docusign envelope has been completed and the copy sent to the signer?

The initial text comes through in the body once the process is completed. The Subject line does change to “Completed: Requires Signing” and so does the byline in the body of the text, but it is causing confusion for our signers.

Is there a way to change this?

Thanks

Briellen

Yes, this is possible if you edit the resource files. In this case the signing resource file.

The Docusign Signing Resource File Guide will explain how you can achieve this.

Would this be a global change if you were to edit the resource file to remove the word “Completed” ? Would this change impact all templates/envelopes on the account?

Is there any way to modify for a specific template only ?   Remove “Completed” from the subject line

Hello @Norman Foster,

Thank you for reaching out to us with this question. I completely understand wanting to customize your email subject lines for your templates, and I would be happy to clarify this matter.

To answer your question directly: modifying the Email Resource File is an account-wide change. Because the resource file ties directly to the active Brand configuration assigned to the account, any edits made to it will unfortunately take effect across all of your templates and envelopes using that brand. We cannot isolate resource file changes to specific templates only.

Thank you, and have a great ahead.

Is it possible to clone / copy a Docusign account and move that one template into the separate account and then editing that resource file would only impact that one template ?     We currently only have one main account which handles both our external templates to customers and a few internal templates used inside our organization so just looking for potential options as the Completed has caused some confusion internally on the one template   Thank You for your response.

Hello @Norman Foster

Thank you for getting back to us.

If your account meets the qualifications to create a sub-account, such as having an organization feature and being an Organization Administrator, you may follow the steps on this link: Create an account.

Having a sub-account will allow you to have the same features from the parent/original account (including brands). You may then upload the resource file and your template to this sub-account and use it as a workaround for your preferred workflow.

Thank you!
