We require photo ID to be attached to our documents that are being signed.  Is there a way for the signer to attach a photo of their ID to the document during the signing process?

Yes. Just an (https://support.docusign.com/guides/signer-guide-signing-adding-attachments-new) attachment tag to your document. This tag can be set to either be optional or required in order to force the recipient to upload a document.

Hope this helps.

The support link no longer works. Is the function of allowing the recipient to upload a document to the envelope still available in Docusign?

@Dorothy.Dai

Looks like it’s still possible. I found this in the support documents:

https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?language=en_US&bundleId=yca1573855023892&topicId=nbl1573854991156.html&_LANG=enus

good luck
