After having done the identification process with the DocuSign employee, I have tried to sign an additional document, but it's asking me to start the whole identification process again. Do you have any idea why that is?

Based on the information provided, it appears you are going through the IDNow verification, if this is the first time that you sign via IDnow, you will be required to go through IDnow’s video identification process. Follow the on-screen instructions to be connected to a trained ident specialist who will lead you through this process.

If you, however, have previously gone through IDnow’s video identification process and created an account as part of this process, you will be prompted to log in with your email address and password. After accepting the applicable terms and conditions, enter the one-time code that will be provided to you via SMS and click on “Sign document.”

ID Verification partners with the IDnow AutoIdent application to improve the reliability of the verification process. IDnow AutoIdent combines artificial intelligence, machine learning, and human review to verify signers’ IDs. 

If you don't want to go over the verification set up by the sender, you will need to contact them directly, if you "reply to" the email notification you will be able to contact the sender with your questions.

You can always create a case to have a Support agent work the case with you.

If you are not able to open the case on the same page, you should scroll down to More Support Options and select "I can't reset my password or don't have an account." you will have the option of filling out the form or calling Support.
