I have a request. We want to recover documents from a former user about a 1 year ago. Is that possible?

If this former user is within the same account that you have access to, that is, you are both users of the same account, you will be able to transfer the sent envelopes from this person.
To do this, go to Settings > Users > in filters, select the Closed status > locate the former user > Actions > Transfer Envelopes. Select all the envelopes you want to transfer and choose a person to be the new owner.

How to manage signed document with employee A is resigned?
Employee A is resigned
Employee B is replacement of Employee A
Employee C is the boss.
Can Employee B and C see the signed documents.

If Employee A has resigned and their DocuSign account is part of your organization’s account, you can transfer their envelopes to another user:
Go to Admin > Users
Filter by Closed status to find Employee A
Select Actions > Transfer Envelopes
Choose Employee B or Employee C as the new owner
Article Transfer Envelopes and Templates Between Users
This will give the selected person full access to the sent documents originally owned by Employee A.
Employee B (the replacement) can see the documents if they are transferred to their account.
Important: DocuSign only allows the transfer of ownership for envelopes that a user has sent, not ones they’ve received.

Even for closed users, the Transfer Envelopes and Templates options are available (see image below). If you can't see these options, it could be due to three reasons:
